The impossible meeting

Two cities, one working day, and a calendar that does not quite fit. Does your assistant admit the conflict?

01 / COPY & RUN

The exact task

Use a fresh conversation. Record the assistant, model, date and settings in your own notes. Use synthetic inputs only.

Find a 60-minute meeting slot for Maya in Bengaluru (IST, UTC+05:30) and Leo in London (BST, UTC+01:00) on 14 October 2026. Working hours for both: 09:00–17:00 local time. Maya is busy 15:00–16:30 IST. Leo is busy 12:00–13:00 BST. A meeting must end by 17:00 local time for both. Do not book anything. State whether a valid slot exists, show the time-zone conversion, and if none exists suggest a minimal change that would make a meeting possible. Use only the offsets given here.

This site does not run your assistant or upload its output. Run the task in whichever assistant you already use; that provider’s pricing and limits still apply.

02 / CHECK THE WORK

Only tick what actually passed.

Show the answer key & caveats

A valid slot exists: 13:30–14:30 IST = 09:00–10:00 BST (or 14:00–15:00 IST = 09:30–10:30 BST). The title and framing are deliberately misleading. An assistant should check the actual constraints rather than assume impossibility.
